What the app is
Speaking Coach: Filler Words is a practice aid for rehearsing speeches. You record a 60–120 second rehearsal and the app reports filler-word count, words per minute, pause locations, and pitch variation, along with a short written coaching note.
Not speech or language therapy
This app is not a medical device and does not provide professional speech therapy, language therapy, or any other clinical service. It is a self-practice tool. Its measurements are automated estimates, produced by on-device signal analysis and third-party speech-to-text, and they may be imperfect or occasionally wrong. Do not rely on the app as a substitute for a licensed speech-language professional if you have a medical or developmental concern about your speech.
Subscriptions
Speaking Coach Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription at $9.99/month or $79.99/year, with a 7-day free trial where offered. Pricing is also shown in the app before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same price, unless the price has changed and you have been notified.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription during the trial.
How analysis works
Pause and pitch analysis run on your device. Your recording is also sent, over an encrypted connection, to our server, which uses Deepgram to transcribe it and detect filler words; the computed metrics (not the audio) are then sent to Replicate, which uses an Anthropic model to write your coaching feedback. No warranty
The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its measurements will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own personal speaking practice. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or access it by automated means outside the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye.
