Speaking Coach Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Speaking Coach: Filler Words is a practice tool for rehearsing speeches. This policy explains what happens to your recordings and data when you use it.

No account, no sign-up

There is no account system. You never enter an email address, a password, or any personal identifier to use the app.

What is stored, and where

Each practice session's results — filler word count, words per minute, pause locations, pitch variation, and the coaching text — are stored only on your device, using Apple's SwiftData. This history is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, this history is deleted with it.

What happens to your recording

Every recording is analyzed in two separate ways:

How your coaching feedback is written

After analysis, we send only the computed numbers — your filler count, words per minute, pause data, and pitch variation — to Replicate, which runs an Anthropic language model to write a short paragraph of feedback. Your audio is never part of this request, only the metrics.

Purchases

Subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, which assigns your device an anonymous app user ID to track entitlement — this ID is not linked to your name, email, or any other identity we hold, because we don't hold one. We never see your card number or other payment details; Apple handles that directly.

What we don't do

Speaking Coach has no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone beyond the processors named above (Deepgram, Replicate, RevenueCat, and Apple), which exist solely to run the features described here.
